Looking for the best free Discord leveling bot? SaqrBot is a free Discord XP bot with chat + voice XP, custom rates, level roles, and /points and /top.
How XP and Levels Work
Every message a member sends and the time they spend in a voice channel with others earns XP. From the dashboard you control exactly how much XP per message and per voice interval (every 5 minutes by default), so chat-heavy and voice-heavy servers can each tune the curve. A built-in cooldown stops spam farming — members earn message XP once per minute, so quality matters more than quantity. Members check their own level and total XP any time with /points (or /points @user to look up someone else).
Setting Up Level Roles
Level roles are automatic rewards. When a member reaches a level you set, the bot assigns a Discord role automatically — for example level 5 for Active Member, level 15 for Regular, level 30 for VIP. You configure unlimited level roles from the Discord features dashboard: pick the role, set the required level, and the bot handles the rest. Members never have to claim anything.
The /top Leaderboard
Members run /top to see the points leaderboard combining text and voice XP.
Add period:This week or period:This month to /top for a fresh, time-boxed leaderboard that never resets anyone's lifetime level or XP.
Dashboard ControlsEverything about your leveling system is controlled from the web dashboard. Set points per message, points per voice interval, the cooldown, manage level roles, and adjust individual member balances. No need to memorize commands beyond /points and /top — the dashboard makes setup visual and simple. See the full Discord commands list for everything else SaqrBot does.
Rank Cards and Level-Up Cards
Members run /rank to get a canvas rank card with their level, their place in the server, and a bar showing progress to the next level. You pick the card colors and background from the dashboard, including an 8-background gallery with a live preview, and members can personalize their own card with /rankcard (colors and an uploaded background) unless you turn that off. Turn on the level-up card and SaqrBot celebrates each new level with an image, and mark channels where members earn no XP at all.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is SaqrBot a free Discord leveling bot?
Yes. SaqrBot is a free Discord XP bot with no premium tier — unlimited level roles, custom XP rates, voice XP tracking, and the full /top leaderboard are all included at no cost. You add it to your server in about 10 seconds.
How do members earn XP in Discord?
Members earn XP from two activities: every message they send and the time they spend in a voice channel with others. You set how much XP per message and per voice interval from the dashboard, and a built-in cooldown grants message XP once per minute so members can't farm points by spamming.
How do level roles work?
Level roles are automatic rewards: when a member reaches a level you set, the bot assigns a Discord role automatically — for example level 5 for Active Member, level 15 for Regular, level 30 for VIP. You configure unlimited level roles from the dashboard, and members never have to claim anything.
How do members check their level and rank?
Members run the /points slash command to see their own level and total XP, or /points @user to look up someone else. The /top command shows the server leaderboard ranked by points, combining chat and voice XP into one ranking.
Does the leveling bot count voice activity?
Yes. SaqrBot tracks both chat and voice. Members earn XP for time spent in a voice channel with at least one other member, and you set the points per voice interval from the dashboard — so voice-heavy servers can reward time spent in calls, not just messages.
Can I set custom XP rates and a cooldown?
Yes. From the web dashboard you control points per message, points per voice interval, and the anti-spam cooldown, plus you can manage level roles and adjust individual member balances. The only commands members need are /points and /top — the rest is visual setup.
Does /top have a weekly or monthly leaderboard?
Yes. Run /top with the period option set to This week or This month for a leaderboard scoped to that window, alongside the default all-time board. It's a separate activity-only ranking — it never resets anyone's lifetime level or total points.
