Discord Auto Responder Bot — Free Triggers & Replies

Q: What is a Discord auto responder bot?

A Discord auto responder bot watches your server chat and replies automatically the moment someone types a trigger phrase you defined — no moderator needed. With SaqrBot you pick a trigger, choose a reply, and the bot answers instantly every time it appears, around the clock and for free.

Q: How do I set up an auto responder in Discord?

Add SaqrBot to your server, then create a responder from the web dashboard or with the /autoresponder add command — set the trigger phrase, the reply text, and the match type, and it goes live immediately. Both the $ prefix and slash commands work on Discord.

Q: What match types does the auto responder support?

SaqrBot supports three match types. Exact match responds only when the whole message is exactly the trigger. Contains match (the default) responds when the trigger appears anywhere in the message. Regex match lets advanced admins use a regular expression for full pattern control; SaqrBot validates the pattern and rejects unsafe expressions to protect performance.

Q: Can the auto responder reply with an embed or a DM?

Yes. A response can be a plain text message or a rich embed with a title, description, color, footer, thumbnail, and image. Each responder can also be set to deliver via direct message instead of the channel, so the answer goes privately to the member who triggered it and keeps the channel clean.

Q: Can an auto responder accidentally ping @everyone?

No. Mentions in auto-responder replies are limited to users only, so a responder can never accidentally ping @everyone or @here. That keeps automated replies safe even when a trigger fires in a busy channel.

Q: Is the Discord auto responder bot free?

Yes. SaqrBot's auto responder is free forever with no premium locks — custom triggers, every match type, text or embed replies, and optional DM delivery are all available at no cost, and you manage them from a bilingual web dashboard or the /autoresponder command.

How the Discord auto responder bot works

Create a trigger and reply; the bot answers matching messages automatically, case-insensitively.

Match types: exact, contains, and regex

SaqrBot's auto reply bot supports three match types. Exact match responds only when the whole message is exactly the trigger text. Contains match (the default) responds when the trigger appears anywhere inside the message — ideal for catching a keyword like "rules" wherever it shows up. Regex match lets advanced admins use a regular expression for full pattern control; SaqrBot validates the pattern and rejects unsafe expressions to protect performance. Pick the type per responder when you run /autoresponder add. Each server can keep up to 200 responders, up to 10 of them regex.

Text or embed replies, and optional DM

Reply as text or a rich embed, optionally via DM; replies never ping @everyone.

Manage it from the dashboard or commands

Manage from the dashboard, or use the /autoresponder add / list / remove subcommands.

Common use cases

FAQ automation, server info, channel redirects, and fun replies — no code.
